Some people have been in a relationship that ended in some way or another. Everyone handles breakups in a different way. For some, the two are able to remain friends while others become the worst of enemies.

“It’s kinda weird [when we ended our relationship] because we have the same friends and we were together for two years. It was hard. It’s just a weird feeling being around him,” Anonymous said.

For most, it proves to be a challenge to remain friends with an old boyfriend or girlfriend, but for others they ease right back into friendship that they had prior to dating.

“At first we didn’t talk for awhile, but then we just became normal friends and forgot that we dated each other,” Anonymous said.

In general, separation is just that, separation. People who do not reestablish their friendship while also choosing not to harbor hatred for each other take on a whole different view on the situation.

“We kind of just drifted apart, [and] we haven’t talked really. There were just bad vibes and it’s like she doesn’t exist anymore because she’s not a part of my life,” Anonymous said.

The final verdict is that everyone has a different way of dealing with breakups and past loves. We’re all different, but we are all capable of loving and being loved.
