Robots to Take-over the School

Robots+to+Take-over+the+School

When people discuss the future, they often mockingly say that robots will someday run the world. Mr. Kendal Smith’s, Science, Room V108 may be the first place robots conquer.

Robotics Club, in its first year of existence at LC, was originally brought to Smith’s attention by Thomas Lozanoski (12), who now acts as a leader of the club.

“[Some of my responsibilities include] organizing meetings, recruiting members and fundraising,” Lozanoski said.

Other members of the club also hold jobs of their own. Jeromy Rech (12), Corporate Contact of the club, is also involved in fundraising. This means that he collects the sufficient amount of money needed to order the robot parts.

“Once we raise the money, we will get a packet of parts to build a robot. We have six weeks to complete the project,” Rech said.

Working on the project involves teamwork. At this point, since the club is still in its growing years, more members are always appreciated.

“If there is more interest, we would like to take it to the next level,” Lozanoski said.
