The Anime Club is a new club created this year for students to bond over their love for Japanese cartoons.
Vice President Leanne Mroz (10) describes the club as a “fun time to get together with people with the same interests.”
“Lake Central Anime Club is more like a big group of friends than a formally structured club. Everyone’s unified by our love of anime and manga. We even take the time to discuss video games, too,” Mroz said.
The club does other activities such as trivia sessions, drawing sessions and watching movies. Anime is a Japanese cartoon designed for all ages.
“Anime is simply another form of entertainment; in essence, it is cartoons. There are some for every age,” Mroz said.
The club meets every Blue Monday in E205.
