The Intro to Manufacturing class is a great opportunity for students with different ideas for their career paths. For those wishing to further their education in manufacturing, more advanced classes follow after enrolling and completing the Intro to Manufacturing class. All three classes are run by Mr. Terry Richardson, Career Technology Education.
“We offer three classes here. There is Intro to Manufacturing, which is an opportunity for first year students to learn about machine shop. They will learn measurements, things about decimals and fractions, general math that applies to shop. Then they are going to learn how to do some free hand grinding, how to use the machines and then they’ll have an opportunity to do a personal project for themselves. We also offer precision machine two and precision machine three, which are a three hour class that meet every day, periods one, three and five,” Richardson said.
