On Tuesday Nov. 27th, the boys varsity swim team won against Valparaiso at Lake Central. The Valparaiso swim team is a difficult team to beat.

“I think the meet went pretty well because [Valpo] is usually one of the teams that are more difficult to beat,” Kyle Hegyi (11) said.

The team worked together through motivation during the night to defeat the opposing team and achieve their goal of the night.

“[My favorite thing about the team] is how close and motivated the team is because it helps push me through practice and meets like tonight,” Hegyi said.

Many of the swimmers are eager to see how the new additions, freshman, will contribute to the team’s success, such as tonight,as a whole in the future.

“With the start of the season, we have seen that there are a lot of new swimmers with a lot of talent so I’m just excited to see how the season goes,” KC Gondeck (11) said.
