On Saturday, Sept. 21, the boys Varsity soccer team lost to North Central High School. The boys faced a difficult team and the final score was 0-6. Regardless, the team plans to push through and only get stronger.

“Today’s game just wasn’t satisfactory, [it] should’ve been better. I don’t think the team did everything amongst ourselves to win,” Dominik Orciuch (10) said.

The team put up a tough fight against their challenging competitors. The boys allowed North Central to only score one goal during the first half of the game.

“We had an incredible first half outplaying them with them scoring an unlucky goal. We just couldn’t maintain that, and the game just ended up not going our way,” Quinten Enyeart (11) said.

Due to COVID-19, the team lost most of their summer conditioning season, setting them back in the current season. No matter the loss, the boys plan to improve and work out their difficulties before sectionals.

“When it comes to sectionals we will be ready in hopes to get back to the state finals. We know we have a very good team, [and] we show glimpses of greatness every game. We just need to put it together,” Enyeart said.
