On Feb. 23, History Club started its meeting at 2:15. Every Friday they meet from two to three after school and discuss that day in history. They also talked about different current events happening in our world today.
“I just love the idea of History Club. As a person who deeply enjoys history and learning new things about it, it’s nice to escape the pre-set and boring basis of what we learn in school,” Anthony Jr. Bell (12) said.
Meetings encourage students who like history to learn more about it and research it for themselves. Sometimes students have an opportunity to present a topic they research during club meetings as well.
“We learn more than just the 300 years of U.S. history that still leaves out such important and terrible things. With History Club, we learn about so much more in depth, and we learn about interesting topics while maintaining a good vibe,” Bell said.
