On Apr 29, 2024, the girl’s varsity softball team took on the Lowell devils by storm. Despite the chance of rain looming over in the beginning, the team beat Lowell 14 to 0 while breaking some school records.
“I broke the record for the single season solo bases with 23 and all time bases with 47 bases. The previous record was held since about 2001 and so it’s crazy that I just broke it. It’s really exciting having this record into my senior year so I can increase my all time bases. I’m looking forward to it,” Kate Renschen (11) said.
Still being in their regular season, the girls focused on tactics to improve throughout the season. Working together, they pushed through the first game of three that week.
“I think we did really good. We definitely have things to improve on in every game but it came out a win and it was a team effort. It was another regular win for us as we have three to four games a week,” Madisen Bickell (11) said.
