Starting her grave, Molly Fennema (10) writes the name of her famous French figure. The club made graves at their third meeting of the year. “I needed something to do after school, so I decided to join French Club so I could hang out with my friends,” Fennema said.

On Oct. 16, the French Club gathered, not to celebrate Halloween, but the French holiday Toussaint, or All Saints Day, which falls on Nov. 1. The club made graves for famous French figures, and decorated them as if they were a real grave in France.

Writing “happy Earth Day” on the sidewalk in chalk, Lily Stiteler (11) grabs a yellow chalk to draw a sun. The Environmental Club met in front of Door B to draw pictures in front of the sidewalk. “I think it’s important to be in Environmental Club because I care about the Earth. I think everyone should care about the Earth because we only get one,” Delilah Teczar (10) said.
