An excerpt from the Center for Workforce Innovations Dual Credit Report showed that almost 40 percent of the 2011-2012 dual credits were earned by students at two high schools: Lake Central and Crown Point. About a quarter (26.6 percent, or 2,444 credits) of all dual credits went to students attending Lake Central. The report looked at all the high schools in all the counties in the region.
“The last two years we went from 8 dual credit classes to 32. I know that we are getting rid of a few in the next few years but I do not think it will change anything. I am really interested to see the State of Indiana report because I think that we will also be in top of the state as well,” Mr. Marty Freeman, Assistant Principal, said.
