The school board met Monday, May 6 in the LGI room at 7:30 p.m. The board met to discuss various topics and subjects relevant to the corporation.
They discussed recent effects on taxpayers and held recognitions for the Riley’s Talent Show, the Word Masters Challenge, and the Lake Central employees that are retiring this year. Among those attending was Chase Lowden (10). Lowden went to become more involved in his community and his school.
“I went because next year I plan on applying for a position on the Wellness Board. The Wellness Board decides on the food and health regulations for the school. I also enjoy networking,” Lowden said.
The meetings are free and open to anyone who would like to attend and are held every other Monday in the LGI room.
“I definitely plan on [attending more meetings] over the next years and getting more involved,” Lowden said.
