With the victory on Tuesday, Dec. 13, over Chesterton, 66-47, the LC Varsity Boys Basketball team has had a successful start to their season.

“So far, [the season] has been enjoyable. [The team] has had some nice wins to start the season, but there are still a lot of goals that we would like to achieve. This group is a little more experienced then last year’s group, so they have a better understanding of what is expected from them in practice every day,” Coach Andy Locke, Mathematics,┬ásaid.

The Boys have been practicing hard, putting their all in each game and practice.

“I think the players have done a lot of work in the off season to prepare themselves for this season. Many guys have gotten stronger in the weight room and have improved some of their individual skills. Practices have been competitive, and every body is trying to get better each day,” Locke said.

The team is currently is 3-0 in the DAC and hope to keep improving.

“I think we have a chance to have a very successful season if we continue to improve and work hard in practice every day. It is also important for our seniors to keep leading and continue to be unselfish. If we do those things, I think we can have a season that all of us will be proud of,” Locke said.
