The Great Educational Opportunities for Busy People

The Lake Central News is the online student newspaper of Lake Central High School in St. John, Indiana. The staff is responsible for covering the current news of our school and outside community. The staff is overseen by its own editors for writing, design and photography.

If you've just graduated high school, been out in the work force for a few years, or looking to start a new career, community college may be right for you. Community colleges offer the full college experience with the added benefit of low costs, high quality of learning and successful transfer of your credits.

Why Pick a Community College?

  • Before the 1970s, communityCommunity colleges allow for ample time for both study and work colleges in the United States were more commonly referred to as junior colleges, and that term is still used at some institutions. However, the term "junior college" has evolved to describe private two-year institutions, whereas the term "community college" has evolved to describe publicly funded two-year institutions.
  • At a community college, you have time to take your courses and think about what you want to do without being pushed to choose a major, a minor and a career plan right away. Even if you’re only in a two-year program, you have the opportunity to explore interests that don’t relate to your major.
  • Community colleges are, in general, far cheaper than full fledged universities. This will allow you both more time, assets and energy to devote to your pet projects. This is a perfect solution for people who thrive on doing something on the side, like maintaining a YouTube channel. A lot of succesful people managed to balance the community college obligations with the different jobs and affairs they had outside of the education.

What to Do After?

Many students use a community college or another two-year college as a stepping-stone to a four-year college and a bachelor’s degree. Make sure that the credits you earn from your classes at the two-year college will count at your four-year college so you can start out there as a junior. The colleges themselves are a great opportunity not only to learn, but also to make new contacts; it should come as no surprise, then, that the connectivity is a brand new concept that emphasized just how important the people we know are.

Now, there is one branch of careers that people oftenA rather typical community college - community college generally offer easier courses than full-fledged colleges disregard when planning a career and education is casino. After completion of the course, students have a deeper understanding of the operations of the casino industry. In addition, students are be able to master the basic principles and skills of casino management, thus increasing their confidence in carrying their jobs as a casino manager.

Casino gambling attitudes and behaviors are more complex than were hypothesized. While the predominant view that older adults gamble at casinos to have fun and enjoy excitement was supported, other, more troubling, reasons for casino gambling emerged. Both intrinsic and extrinsic reasons appeared to motivate casino gambling in older adults.

When taking a course that will make you big in casino, remember that you need to know a lot of tricks that make casinos actually work. For example, did you know that a combo of red lights and fast-tempo music made people bet at a faster pace than did white lights and no music or slow music? This is probably because it matched gamblers’ images of a sexy, high-stakes casino.
