The Freshman Volleyball team was all smiles Thursday night, as they celebrated a win against Portage at home, winning two out of three sets, with scores 25-15 and 25-17 respectively.
The girls are on a record of 6-0 this season, and are hoping to continue their undefeated record.
“[This season] has been so far, so good. It’s my first year [coaching], and I’m kind of like ‘alright, I can deal with this now.’ We have so much talent on the team. They all play [in a volleyball] club and they gel so well together, so [the undefeated season] was kind of expected,” Coach Lindsay Thompson said.
The feeling of happiness lit up the dimmed freshman court when the girls continued their undefeated record.
“It’s just so fun and exciting to be on a winning team,” setter Rachel Gross (9) said.
The freshman team’s next match is Tuesday, away at 5:30 against Michigan City.
