In the last match of the season on Tuesday, Oct. 9, the JV volleyball team defeated Valparaiso in just two matches, securing their undefeated record of 21-0.

“I’m really happy about the outcome of [the season], with us being undefeated and just being a good team,” Stephanie Spigolon (9) said.

The team was feeling several different emotions about their game before they even stepped onto the court.

“[Before the game] we were nervous, sad and excited. Nervous because that game was important, sad because it was our last game and excited because we love [playing] Valpo because they are good competition,” Spigolon said.

The girls are finished with their season, but will be cheering on the varsity team in the IHSAA Sectionals games beginning on Oct. 16.
