The varsity wrestling team was defeated by Crown Point by a score of 20-42 on Dec. 13, bringing their team record to 11-2.
“[As a team] we need some of the younger guys to step up and win, because we are missing some varsity members right now due to injuries and them being sick,” Gelen Robinson (11) said.
Individual winners include Robinson, Matthew Lechowicz (12), Jeffrey Brassea (11), Nicholas Minkema (11), and Kodie Christenson (10).
“I thought I wrestled good, but I think I still have room to improve. [I need to improve on] my technique and to get a little bit more conditioned,” Christenson said.
The wrestlers will compete in the Munster Super Dual at 9:00 a.m. at Munster on Saturday, Dec. 15.
