Trying to live up to their title of State Champions, the team takes the floor at the Grayslake Competition with the pressure on and nerves high.

“The entire day, I was thinking about my hurt ankle, but after I got it taped and went to warm-ups, my adrenaline really started pumping,” Brooke Lambert (11) said.

Performing with hopes high, the Varsity Cheerleaders brought back the second place trophy.

“It was a tough competition with a lot of talent. It’s hard going into an Illinois competition being the only Indiana team competing,” Megan Anderson (11) said.

The varsity cheerleaders were up against 10 other competing teams.
