The girls gymnastics team traveled to Hobart on Feb. 19 to compete in one of their last meets of the season.

“I think overall it was a pretty good meet, but I know we’ve done better in the past,” Jaclyn Schymanski (12) said.

The girls won the meet, displaying their improvement over the course of the season.

“I think we’ve done very well and have come a long way. We’ve had a good couple last meets,” Emily Costello (12) said.

The team looks forward to the DAC meet and Sectionals, both occurring within the next week.

“We have a full week of practice and try to work had at the events we’re competing in. We have to make sure the routines are clean and well executed, “ Schymanski said.

The girls will compete at the DAC meet on Feb. 23 at Merrillville, and Sectionals at Chesterton on March 2.
