On Monday May 6, the freshman baseball team faced the Crown Point Bulldogs. The game started promptly at 4:30 p.m. at home.
“[This game was important because] it was against Crown Point. They’re our biggest rival,” Ethan Darter (9) said.
The boys have been preparing for this game, because Crown Point consistently proves to be a tough opponent.
“We get a good stretch in and hit before every game. It prepares us for the game,” Devin Moseley (9) said.
Each game, the boys try to improve. Eliminating mistakes and improving plays makes the team more and more efficient.
“We’ve been doing really well with making contact with the ball,” Darter said.
Although Crown Point proved an even match, the boys pushed through and ended with a victory: 7-4.
“It was pretty tough, because we had to face their best. We’ve lost to them before, but in the end we came out with a win,” Moseley said.
