ITS members cast their vote

As the 2013-14 school year comes to an end, members of the Lake Central International Thespian Society Troupe are looking ahead. On Tuesday, May 5, members of ITS gathered for the last meeting of the year and the election for a new group of officers.

“I thought all the candidates were really great.  I knew for a fact that no matter who won, the Lake Central Theater Company would be in great hands. I had a really hard time voting because all the candidates seemed so capable and had such great ideas. It was really hard to just pick one,” Emma Rose (12) said.

Inducted members of the company had the option of running for one of five positions: Secretary, Treasurer, Historian, Vice President and President. While two of the positions – Secretary and Treasurer – were uncontested, the ones that did have more than one candidate posed a hard choice for members.

“[The election was] a really good competition. [The candidates] all have really good attributes. They all have something to contribute,” Lauren Basting (12) said.

Winners of the election will be revealed at the ITS Banquet on Friday, May 9.
