An atmosphere of fun and mischief was had before the matinee show of “SpongeBob The Musical” on Saturday at the free Fun Fair.
Kids were able to create mini characters, receive balloon animals and swords, apply temporary tattoos and meet the characters in the show.
“Children were immersed in the world of “SpongeBob” immediately as the actors walked around in costume and in character,” Mrs. Julie Shupryt, Science, said.
The photo backdrops and multiple characters roaming about provided many photo opportunities for parents.
“It was really fun. A lot of the kids were really scary, but most of them were sweet and actually believed we were the real characters,” Aila Drude (9), who played a sardine, said.
There were also games, coloring and snacks for parents and kids to enjoy.
“My daughter and I spent an hour at the Fun Fair and could have stayed much longer,” Shupryt said.
